The  Dekalb Avenue Merchants’ Association (DAMA) covers Dekalb Avenue from Washington Avenue to Ashland Place, plus businesses on intersecting side streets. The Association is all about businesses working together on issues of mutual interest, connecting with the community and promoting this vibrant strip in the heart of one of Brooklyn’s great neighborhoods.

  1. Hi!

My name is Julia and I work with Rooftop Films (www.rooftopfilms.com), a summer film series dedicated to showcasing new, independent films and emerging bands in unique outdoor locations. I thought you might be interested in one of our upcoming programs. This Saturday, May 30th, at 8pm we will be holding a screening of Strongman in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
Strongman is a deeply personal portrait of Stanless Steel, “the Strongest Man in the World at Bending Steel and Metal.” I hope you can include it in Dekalb Avenue Fort Greene this week!

Stanless Steel performing feats of strength!
A humorous but heart-wrenching verité documentary about Stanless Steel, the only man in the world who can bend a penny with his fingers.
